About Curating the Culture

In December 2019, while on leave after major surgery, I created a bucket list that included, investing in original art. By January 2020, I made a down payment on a beautiful original painting. In the meantime, I lost my sister. I made the final payment after she passed away from COVID. When it arrived and I opened the wrapping, I burst into tears. (Shown in the first blog post) Art has filled in the broken spaces. I’ve been filling the walls of my house, my office, and the offices of others. This blog highlights black artists and their artwork while telling a story of why I chose to invest in the piece.
